it hurts.
take it back, he thinks.
if he goes back to being there but mostly not there, would it be enough?
no it never was.
so what then?
as so often he does lately, he curls almost fetal, the cold of the floor strange. not comforting, but familiar.
like the peil machines, his mind offers, and he doesn't laugh but the empty sentiment...well it's there. )
